NYE 2006: Milwaukee, Why Not?

And the NYE poll has finally closed, with Milwaukee, Wisconsin being the hands-down winner. Although Pasadena, California made a strong showing, that was before the Wisconsin Badgers were handed each of its national championship killing three losses.

So Milwaukee, eh? Well, yeah - and Why Not? Turns out the Sin Bin (i.e. my unofficial fraternity) crew will be kicking in Milwaukee as well. Coincidental? Hmm, probably not.

So what are the deets. Well, during the day, we will be kicking it in North Prairie, WI with the family, probably celebrating a belated Hein Family Christmas. Then, at about 2:59:59 we will be running up and down the halls of the Pfister Hotel. WHA? Well, turns out one of my buddies - Derek Cody Blakeslee of Stayin' Classy fame - said "WTF" and bought the Presidential Suite at the Pfister Hotel for the night of NYE. Pretty crazy. So, Paige and I will be hamming up the Presidential treatment, while checking into a double suite of our own. Right now, our large group is looking into maybe renting a limo to drive around downtown Milwaukee in the early evening to look at Christmas lights and drink booze.

Later that evening, we will be off to an exclusive NYE party at Three Lounge. Pretty sweet. This was arranged by my good friends Ryan Bennett Anderson and Patrick Michael Cochran. Without them, who knows, we coulda been stuck at Cans off North Avenue on NYE. Oops! Wait... Yes, I believe that was a burn, Muktown boys!

On Sunday, January 1, my parents and James will pick me up, and we will be heading up to Green Bay, Wisconsin for the Packers-Seahawks game. Oh, I will definitely be dragging, but with the chance that this will be Favre's last stand, I can't pass on the chance.

Monday will be devoted to Bucky. It will be Barry's last game, and hopefully they will be able to stop the country's hotest team, Auburn, down in Orlando, Florida at the Capital One Bowl game.

I am really looking forward to the trip. It will be short (Fri - Mon), but jam packed with action... and by that I mean both Phillip Jerome Shackton and crazy fun.

Hein,

Good burn on the Cans. You can think about that when you are listening to techno for six hours straight, in a bar that is about half the size of your last bathroom deposit.

Merry New Year.

I believe Mook-Town is the proper way to address your high school friends.

TP (assuming Tommy) is way off base, Techno = Class and the Sin Bin = Classy....it's a natural fit.

Happy Christmas,
