The Governator drinks Pepsi... so should you
I guess Arnold forgot he wasn't filming a promotional short for a movie, but instead a campaign commercial.
Oh well, I don't think it is that big of deal, but some other people seam to be freaking out about it.
It is not illegal for a public figure holding public office to use their fame while in office to promote a product. And how could there be misappropriation of public funds, if Pepsico or Nestle paid for their products to be in the advertisements? And if they didn't, and the commercial was not about the wonders of Pepsi or Nestle, then how does it constitute advertisement for the product? Would the Governator have to be naked for all future commercials, out of fear that a viewer would identify his clothing as coming from Kmart, Macy's, or the GAP? I mean, if they filmed the Governator for an action shot, while someone was holding a Pepsi in the background , it would cost more money to airbrush the logo off from the can, than to just leave it, and say WTF.
I mean c'mon people, the Governator just took a bold step to confront global warming. Shouldn't we applaud a Republican Governor for stepping outside of his party's platform, and confronting a problem many in his party refuses to admit exists?
