Blame Mike Holmgren

For Brett Favre only having 1 Super Bowl ring. Not only did he mail-in a coaching performance in the days leading up to Super Bowl XXXII, mail-in a coaching performance in 1998, Holmgren left the Packers right when the team needed a good coaching mind to mix-in youthful talent with veteran savvy. Instead, the Packers marched in the wrong direction, first with Ray Rhodes, then with Mike Sherman.

And what did Mike Holmgren get? How about a bowl full of humility with a side of guilt, as he took complete control over the Seahawks and has yet to produce a playoff victory. Not to mention being outsmarted in Super Bowl XXXII and outperformed in 1998 by a less talented 49er football team. He also left arguably the greatest QB to play the game on his own when he needed him most.

As an aside... 5 picks today!?! Geesh.
