Special Teams:

(52) P - B. J. Sander #
(53) LS - Rob Davis

Physically Unable to Play List:

(1) WR - Terrence Murphy *
(2) CB - Chris Johnson
(3) LB - Kurt Campbell *

So what does this mean? For one, J. T. O'Sullivan will not be on the team. I feel like the Packers could move him via trade or just cut him. They have showcased him a lot lately. I feel like the Packers have spent so much time with Craig Nall, and he is a known commodity with the staff - much like Doug Pederson was before retiring. I think the Packers need to have someone who has played the position before in an actual NFL football game, were Favre ever to go down for a series or a half of a football game.

Second, 2nd Round draft pick Terrence Murphy will not be on the opening day roster. Recently, Murphy was told that he would need 4 weeks to heal from his recent MCL Sprain. I believe that this will keep the Packers from retaining Murphy on their active roster, whereas Andrae Thurman and Antonio Chatman can play from day 1

Third, Chris Johnson will also be on the PUP list, again. I think the Packers will use it to hold Johnson with some "fake" injury, so they can see how well Jason Horton plays, and then see if Johnson can play better. A decision on Johnson's return will have to be made by Week 7.

Fourth, Kurt Campbell will either make the injured reserve or PUP list before being placed on the Practice Squad.

Fifth, a couple of recent Packer draft picks will be cut. In no particular order, Kenny Peterson, James Lee, Junius Coston, and Craig Bragg will all not make the final roster. Bragg and Coston will probably be on the practice squad, however.

Finally, no 3rd TE. I haven't seen any reason to keep anyone on the team, besides Bubba Franks, at this position. Maybe, the team will pick-up a veteran TE that becomes available during the cuts. Regardless, Ben Steele, Sean McHugh, Steve Fleming, and Troy Humphrey are not NFL caliber players.

Look for the Packers to be scouring the wire before the season starts, and on the phones negotiating trades. The Packers will be looking to pick-up some TEs, OGs, DTs, NTs, LBs. The Packers will be looking to jettison maybe some players at QB, HB, FB, WR, OT, C.
